Firstly Fay, thank you for sharing your journey!

My biggest challenge is to manage and monetise my network. I am excellent at building relationships but I seem to have a block when it comes to moving that relationship to the next level.

The other challenge I have is storing all the data – ie phone calls etc relating to each contact I have.

Really look forward to your help and to growing my business!

Fay – Thank you for sharing that your journey had both ups and downs. What would be instructive is something more about the choice process – you said you chose the wrong one last year, and took a long time choosing the right one now. Without asking of the “who” questions – what attributes were you looking for each time? what were the processes you went through in your choices? why did a choice become not good – your limitation, your lack of understanding, your being out of synch with mentor….etc. the process needs more specifics to have tangible credibility – If I wanted to learn from you…I need to know more about your process to evaluate whether I would be in synch with you.

I love to listen to accents – thank you!

    Hi Fay

Great message in there. I agree that the businesses that really work for the long term add value to their customers lives.

You asked what I would like; I would like information on customer retention and engagement from the customers. How is it that you get your current customers to stay interested in you and not just move onto the next website, product, etc.

That’s a great request Fiona. customer retention is one hugely important topic and much of what I produce from here forward will be about how to keep your customers/prospects engaged with you.

One of your keys in moving the relationship Julianne will be to get a really deep understanding of what each prospects really wants. Eg to make more money and why. How will this make a difference to them. And then ‘did you realize I have a way that you can make that happen…” That’s definitely a start.
For your follow up – do you prefer to use electronic formats or something more manual? I have ideas for whichever you prefer.

Lol Marge – that’s funny! I don’t hear any accent at all!!

Love your questioning mind on this one, and such important issues you raise. I’ve penciled down on my list of blog post topics for the future to do more into depth about choosing a suitable mentor.
Im not going to get publicly specific about any one person however here are some guidelines to be aware of that should ring danger bells:
Coaching calls being consumed by forever talking about their own successes
    Has a big ego
Unable to assist even the query specifically on their area of specialty
Not listening to what I want my business/lifestyle to be like
Refusal to promote or support me or my business publicly because of being in a similar niche
Not delivering what has been promised when joining their program

On the flip side and more positive side – which is after all, the one I choose to focus on. Here are some traits I’ve used to select my new mentor.
Personally spoken to lots of people who have worked with them before to see if the mentor delivers what they say they will
Willingness to spend time speaking with me about my business over and over, before any mention of investment has been made
covers the specific areas where I know my business can be improved
    Interested in my end goals
    Honesty, integrity as high values.

    I hope that helps Marge.

Whooo … hooo… Fay!!! You Rock!!! I love when strong woman stand up and take back their power!

Unfortunately, I did the same thing (probably the same mentor). After a few months of working with her and seeing my bank account plummet to almost zero… I got out and started fresh.

Within a few months of working on myself (and finding a new mentor)… I’m now back on track to my long envisioned Million Dollar Business – This Year!

Wishing you much Joy & Success as you continue to build your Empire!;-)

Hey Carol, Nice to hear from you again. Yep, unfortunately we both got burned, but we also know it’s how we bounce back that counts and we’re both doing an awesome job of that! We’ll be walking on the beaches of the world together….

    Hi Fay
Well done on being so honest. There are lots of shonks out there and I am hoping that now you have a great “shonks Meter”.:)
Like any learning you can only get better and better at whatever you do, so thank you for sharing that even someone as successful as yourself has more learning to do. I am looking forward to seeing you continue your journey:)
BTW that bit about all those files……OMG! you must have been inside my computer….I have so many ‘one day I am gonna watch that again’……..humm maybe now it is time to let them go and build a new list and library.
Cheers and have a great year.
